TEHERAN (Tasnim) – The navy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps highlighted Iran’s growing military capabilities in protecting its interests in the seas, saying the enemies are unable to use all their alleged might against the Islamic Republic .

At a gathering of IRGC Navy cadets in the northern city of Rasht, Iran, Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said the enemies were impotent in the face of Iran, despite their alleged maximum power.

Even so, he added, the Islamic Republic would never underestimate the enemy and would continue to increase its strength on the path to resistance.

Describing the maritime regions as an important area of confrontation with arrogant powers, the general said the IRGC’s armed forces are fully prepared to protect the interests of the Iranian nation in the seas.

“Today we have focused our efforts on keeping the enemy off the front of Islam and ending the bullying and aggression of the arrogant front against oppressed Muslims,” he said.

In comments last month, IRGC Commander Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami said that the enemies of the Islamic Republic faced a sense of “strategic frustration” with a lose-lose situation.

The enemy will have to pay a price if they choose to stay and they will feel the shame of fleeing if they run away, warned the senior commander.
