There is progress in the Middle East. It is so bizarre to see the revelation unfold before our eyes. If you are like me and have read revelation all your adult life, it is exciting to see the prophecy come true.
In Ezekiel 38, the Lord revealed a coalition of ten nations that will gather in the latter days. The names and places Ezekiel describes are alien to us today. You will not find the name “Russia” anywhere in the Bible. Did you know that Persia changed its name to Iran? Or is Gomer now the Germany of today in the Bible? Or is “Gog†more likely a name or title in the Bible than a country? The nation we know as Russia plays a prominent role in prophecy. In Ezekiel’s list of 10 names, the third name, Rosh, is most likely the area we know as Russia. Not only do the two names have a phonetic similarity, Ezekiel’s description of the place also points to Russia. Whenever we find cardinal points or geographic directions in prophecy, they are given in relation to the position of Israel. Biblical prophets assumed that Israel was the center of the world, so any information describing the “King of the North” would be Russia. You cannot read Revelation without referring to Ezekiel.

The scripture referred to by CBN.org is the alliance that Iran, Turkey, and Russia are building. It is a new model of bilateral relations. I think the lord’s fiery rage is coming soon. It is no wonder that it is so difficult for an ordinary layperson like me to follow prophecy. I know God expects me to try to go along.
Matthew 11:15 says: “He who has ears hear.”
And surprisingly, this is not the only place where Jesus spoke these words. In six other passages Jesus says: “He who has ears should hear”. He wants us not just to listen, but to understand. Most of the people he spoke to could hear or they would not have listened to Jesus. Jesus said – understand what I am saying! God would not have bothered to leave His written word if He didn’t want us to read and study it. Pray for wisdom; that God opens your ears and eyes to what His Word says. Be ready! Jesus is returning very soon!
