The Office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran released a poster showing fighters from the late US-sanctioned Iranian terrorist Qassem Soleimani along with supporters of the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against Israel.

Omer Carmi, a PhD student at Tel Aviv University reporting on Iran, tweeted a picture of the poster and wrote, “A new poster from Khamenei’s office showing a march of ‘freedom fighters’ led by Soleimani. It includes BDS activists, activists who oppose normalization in Israel, protesters against the Yemen war, people who protest against poverty and against restrictions on wearing hijab in Europe. “

There are also two signs in Arabic as part of the poster that read “Normalization is for traitors, not free” and “No, no to America, America is the enemy of the nations”. According to the Iraqi expert, the “no, no” sign is an Iraqi slogan.

The Trump administration launched a drone attack on Qasem Soleimani in 2020, killing the man who was the commander of the Quds Force and responsible for the murder of over 600 Americans.

The Austrian and German parliaments classified the BDS campaign directed against Israel as anti-Semitic. Parliaments said the BDS movement was reminiscent of the boycott of Jewish businesses by the Nazi movement in the 1930s.

The Iranian regime promotes BDS at the annual rallies for Al-Quds Day, which were called for worldwide action in 1979 by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Iranian theocracy.

Al-Quds rallies call for the destruction of Israel and include Iranian cities and European capitals such as London and Vienna. Islamists backed by Iran have marched along with a mix of neo-Nazis, BDS activists, political leftists, Hezbollah members and supporters of the US and EU-designated terrorist organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
