The Iranian army pays homage to the martyred commander Qarani

The Iranian army held a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday to commemorate the former senior military commander, Lieutenant General Mohammad-Vali Qarani.

Mohammad-Vali Qarani (1913–April 23, 1979) was an Iranian military officer. He was born in Tehran. He graduated from the Officers’ Academy and War College.

On Wednesday, Iran celebrated the commemoration ceremony for Mohammad-Vali Qarani, former senior military commander, in the presence of Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army.

During the ceremony, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi presented the “Medal of Courage” to the families of the martyrs.

Also the comrades of the martyr Mohammad-Vali Qarani narrated and shared memories and stories about this courageous martyr who sacrificed his life for the betterment of Iran.

Qarani served as the Iranian Army’s first Chief of Staff after the victory of the Islamic Revolution from February 12, 1979 until March 27, 1979 when he was expelled.

He was assassinated on April 23, 1979 by the Forqan terrorist organization. Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the ceremony, Abdolrahim Mousavi donated the “Medal of Courage” to the families of the martyrs.
